Eligibility
Entrants must be residents of Maui County and at least 18 years of age. Art
Maui entries must have been created within the last two years without
supervision. Works may not have been exhibited in any venue in Maui County.
If any number within an edition has been shown, no other duplicate piece within
the edition may be entered. All reproducible imagery is included in this description.
All works must be original and created independently.
Preparation of entries
Entries must be finished and ready for display. Two-dimensional work must be
properly mounted and/or framed and wired. No wet works will be accepted.
Wires only, no sawtooth hangers. No live animals allowed in show. Art
Maui assumes no responsibility for live plants as art. Artist must maintain
any live plants throughout the exhibit in same condition as received and juried
in. Art Maui and juror reserve the right to refuse works difficult to exhibit
due to excessive size, weight, or due to presentation. Art with audio must
have volume control.
Conditions
Diptychs and triptychs will be juried as one piece.
Accepted artists are to be responsible for sitting one four-hour shift during
the exhibit or contributing in some way as a volunteer to Art Maui 2006.
All artists must sign the Liability Release Form.
L¯anai and Molokai artists are responsible for their own shipping
and pick-up.
Price on receiving day will remain the price of the work during Art Maui.
Fees
$10.00 per entry. This fee is non-refundable and entitles you to a one-year
membership in Art Maui. Checks should be made payable to Art Maui. Each artist
may enter a maximum of two original works.
Commission
Art Mauis commission is 40% of the sale price. It is suggested that all
art be for sale with the artists price reflecting the value of his or
her work.
Acquisitions
A minimum of $6,000 worth of art is expected to be purchased through the Purchase
Pledge program. The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts will also consider
purchases from the Art Maui 2006 exhibit. Work will be available to the public
for purchase throughout the exhibition.

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, between 9 a.m.5 p.m to the Schaefer International
Gallery, Maui Arts & Cultural Center and go to pre-registration line to
submit and pay fees.
