Executive Director & Chief Curator of the Bellevue Arts Museum
Benedict Heywood is the founder of the non-profit art space, The Soap Factory, a studio and laboratory for artistic experimentation across contemporary visual arts in Minneapolis. He relocated to Washington state when he was recruited to Direct Pivot Art + Culture, a gallery and exhibition project of Seattle philanthropist Paul Allen. Now, he is the Executive Director & Chief Curator of the Bellevue Arts Museum. Ben, a British born citizen, is a graduate of the Courtauld Institute of Art. He has previously been Deputy Director of The Henry Moore Sculpture Trust in Leeds, UK and a Visual Arts Officer at the Arts Council of England, London, UK.
