Since moving to Maui Monique Renee has been inspired by the island’s intrinsic beauty. She is working with acrylics and infusing color in a method called fluid acrylic art. She loves the free-flowing combination of colors that give life to a beautiful abstract image that evokes visions of nature and/ or brings about an emotional response. She says “ this art form is by its very nature exciting not only for the artist in creating it but also for the viewer because it reaches into the subconscious and the viewer can’t help but see something personal in it, whether it be an experience or a memory.” She endeavors to resonate with viewers on a very personal level and bring beauty into their lives. This is Monique’s first year on the board of Art Maui and she is excited to support the organization and help others get involved!
