For us to become part of continuing the 36-year tradition of promoting art through the juried exhibition of Art Maui is both a joyous and daunting responsibility. We take great pride in sharing this mission with each member of the 2014 Board of Directors. We thank everyone on the Board, from the President of Art Maui, to the Chairs and members of each committee, and to the many volunteers who contribute not only ideas but also countless hours and expertise to assure that we continue the tradition and success of Art Maui.

An important goal for Art Maui is to encourage the wide range of resident artists by providing them the opportunity to exhibit their very best works. As a pre-eminent annual juried art exhibition, Art Maui recognizes the excellence of that work and it is appreciated and supported by patrons throughout the state, visitors from the mainland, and international travelers. We are honored to collaborate with the Schaefer International Gallery at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in hosting the show.

Encouragement to explore the arts is also given to all Maui County high school seniors who intend to pursue art studies in college by providing an opportunity to be awarded Art Maui scholarships by submitting their art portfolios for judging.

Together we have all happily done our very best to guide Art Maui into the future while still carrying on the tradition intended by the founders. Enjoy!
