Art Maui is very pleased to announce a reinstated High School Senior Art Scholarship Awards Program to culminate during Art Maui 2012. High school seniors attending Maui County public or private high schools, or home-schooled, are invited to participate. There will be three $2500 awards given. Juror Tom Klobe will judge the student entries, which are to be brought to Receiving Day, Thursday, March 15, between 1 and 5 p.m. Award winners will be announced at the Juror’s Walk-through on April 14, 2012.

We are very pleased that Art Maui has been able to reinstate the annual Art Maui High School Senior Scholarship Awards this year, and we hope that participating seniors will enjoy their subsequent academic careers in art studies. Many of the previous scholarship winners are enjoying successful careers in art, and we wish the same for all of the participating seniors.

Janet Allan and Debbie von Tempsky, members of the Art Maui Board of Directors, organized the scholarship awards and provided the application information to local high schools. The complete announcement and rules are available for download: Art Maui 2012 Scholarship Rules

Update, March 12, 2012:
Scholarship submissions will be accepted from 1-5 p.m. on Receiving Day, March 15, at the McCoy Theater dressing room.
